What does a bag making machine do?
A bag making machine takes the roll of film, seals it and cuts it into bags. Every machine on this page is a plastic bag manufacturing machine of this kind; they differ in bag type, number of lines and speed.
Hot or cold cutting. In hot cutting, a heated knife seals and cuts at the same time: this is how T-shirt bags are made. In cold cutting, the bag is sealed first and then cut with a cold knife, which leaves a clean edge on flat and heavier bags.
One or several lines. A 2-line or 4-line machine makes two or four bags per cycle; it pays off when you sell standard-size bags in volume.
How to choose your plastic bag making machine
Start with the bag you already sell or your customers ask for. Each bag type has its machine:
The 2-line MFHQB makes up to 350 bags per minute on each line. For small bags up to 350 mm wide, the MF-SH-1000 works four lines at once.
The YB400 series seals, perforates and rolls the bags on two lines, 350 or 450 mm wide per line.
The MF-600B / 800B / 1000B makes bags up to 580, 780 or 980 mm wide at 40–240 bags per minute.
The MF-B series cold-cuts on two lines, 550 to 950 mm wide, with bags up to 1,500 mm long.
Questions about bag making machines
What material do these machines run?
Polyethylene (PE) film on the roll. The accepted thickness depends on the series; you will find it on each machine’s data sheet.
Do they run on 60 Hz?
Yes. We configure voltage and frequency for your country: 220, 380 or 440 V, 50 or 60 Hz.
Do I also need a blown film machine?
Only if you want to make your own film. If you buy film on the roll, the bag making machine is enough. See our blown film machines.
