How a blown film extrusion machine works
Polyethylene resin enters the hopper and the screw melts it inside a heated barrel. The molten plastic leaves a circular die as a thin tube, which is inflated with air into a bubble.
An air ring cools the bubble as it rises up the tower. At the top, the take-up rollers flatten it and carry it to the winder, where the rolls for the bag making machine are formed.
Single layer or three layers. In a single-layer machine all the film comes from one screw. In an ABA machine, two extruders form a 3-layer film in which the middle layer can carry a different blend.
Which blown film machine does your factory need?
It depends on how much film you use and where your factory is today:
The mini machine (40–50 kg/h) or the SJ-A-50 (60 kg/h) are the first step: both take little space.
The SJ-A-55 and SJ-A-60 reach 80 and 100 kg/h. For more volume and wide film, the MF-C series reaches 220 kg/h.
The MF-ABA uses two extruders to form A-B-A layers, with a different blend in the middle if you need it.
Questions about blown film machines
What materials do they run?
Polyethylene: HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE, depending on the series. The material for each is in the comparison table and on its data sheet.
What film width do I need?
Film width sets bag width. Tell us the sizes of the bags you sell and we will recommend the series and model.
Do they run on 60 Hz?
Yes. We configure voltage and frequency for your country: 220, 380 or 440 V, 50 or 60 Hz.
Can I print the film?
Polyethylene film needs corona treatment before printing, which is optional equipment on our machines. Mention it when you ask for a quote.
What is the delivery time?
It depends on the model and configuration; we confirm it when you place the order.
