HDPE Blown Film Machine SJ-A
Makes the high-density and low-density polyethylene film used for T-shirt bags, flat bags and bags on roll. Three models for film from 200 to 1,000 mm wide.
Voltage and frequency built for your country: 220, 380 or 440 V · 50 or 60 Hz.

HDPE and LDPE film for bags
The SJ-A melts polyethylene resin, pushes it through a circular die and inflates it into a bubble. Once cooled, the bubble is flattened between rollers and wound up: that roll is the raw material for your bag making machine.
It runs high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the thin, crisp film of the T-shirt bag, and low-density polyethylene (LDPE), softer and more flexible, for flat and heavier bags.

Why choose the SJ-A
HDPE and LDPE on one machine
The same extruder makes high-density film for T-shirt bags and low-density film for flat bags, the two most common orders in a bag factory.
30:1 L/D screw
Screw and barrel are SACM-645 / 38CrMoAl steel, with a 30:1 length-to-diameter ratio on all three models.
Three widths for three bag sizes
Film from 200 to 1,000 mm wide, at 60, 80 or 100 kg/h. Choose the model by the width of the bags you sell.
Optional equipment
Automatic resin loader, corona treatment for printing, rotary die, air compressor and screen changer.

From the die to the finished roll
The film rises from the die, is cooled by the air ring, passes the take-up rollers and reaches the winder, where the rolls for your bag machine are formed.

Which SJ-A model do you need?
Film width sets the width of the bags you can make. Start there:
For small and medium bags: market and shop T-shirt bags, product bags. Up to 60 kg/h.
The middle option: supermarket T-shirt bags and medium flat bags. Up to 80 kg/h.
For wide bags and garbage bag film. Up to 100 kg/h. For more width or output, see the MF-C series.

Questions about the SJ-A
Can I make HDPE and LDPE film on the same machine?
Yes. The SJ-A is designed for both. Tell us which film you make most, so we can set the configuration in the quotation.
Is the film ready for printing?
Polyethylene film needs corona treatment before printing. It is optional equipment on the SJ-A: mention it when you ask for a quote.
How much does an HDPE blown film machine cost?
It depends on the model and the optional equipment. The SJ-A-50, SJ-A-55 and SJ-A-60 make film from 200 to 1,000 mm wide at 60, 80 or 100 kg/h, and options such as an automatic resin loader, corona treatment or a rotary die add to the price. Tell us the width of your bags and your voltage, and we send you a quotation within 24 hours.
What are the different types of extrusion machines?
By the number of screws, there are single-screw and twin-screw extruders; film is made on single-screw machines like the SJ-A. By product, there are blown film, cast film and sheet, pipe and profile, and pelletizing extruders. Our guide to types of extruders explains which one you need to make plastic bags.
What is the HS code for a blown film machine?
Blown film machines are usually classified under HS subheading 8477.20, extruders for working plastics. The full tariff code varies by country, so confirm it with your customs broker before you import.
Does the machine run on 60 Hz?
Yes. We configure voltage and frequency for your country: 220, 380 or 440 V, 50 or 60 Hz.
What else do I need to make bags?
A bag making machine to turn the roll into bags, such as the MFHQB for T-shirt bags. See also the complete production line.
What is the delivery time?
It depends on the model and configuration; we confirm it when you place the order.
Related machines
- Film
The SJ-A turns HDPE or LDPE resin into film from 200 to 1,000 mm wide. For narrow film in a small space, see the mini machine.
- Bags
The film roll feeds a T-shirt bag machine (MFHQB or MF-SH), the YB400 bag on roll machine or the MF-B flat bag machine.
- Recycling
Trim and rejected bags go to a single-stage or two-stage pelletizer and return to the extruder as pellets.
